Booking Guarantee Deposit
A 50% amount of the full balance is considered as a guarantee deposit for the booking. The full balance is due before check-in.

Reservations
Should we receive no proof of payment from you within 2 days of reservation as per reservation quote, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation at which time you might be advised.

Cancellations
Cancellations of bookings can be done in writing by e-mail to stay@mountainaloeden.co.za. Cancellation of bookings will attract the following penalties:

Stand-by Reservations
Stand-by reservations are dependent on pre-existing reservations made by other customers. Should the original reservation not be successful, the first stand-by reservation candidate shall be considered as the next reservation and shall be contacted as a result thereof. All other unsuccessful stand-by reservation candidates will not be contacted of the outcome. We can only allow up to a maximum of 3 stand-by reservations.

No-Show
A no-show is the non-arrival of a guest without notification in writing by e-mail or by phone to the Mountain Aloe Den. In the event of a no-show, you will forfeit 100% of the full balance or any other deposit paid.

Payment Methods
Payment can be made by cash, or through third party booking websites eg. Bookings.com.We regret we DO NOT accept payment by means of cheques (by hand) or via ATM Deposits.

Check-in and Check-out
Check-in time is from 2:00 pm and check-out time is by 10:00 am unless prior arrangement has been made. Arrangements for prolonging the guest's stay must be made before 8:00 am on or before the day of check-out subject to availability of the room. Reservations made on the day of arrival that are not guaranteed will be released within 3 hours. We will endeavor to contact you between 24 and 48 hours prior to arrival to confirm your reservation and to verify the expected time of your arrival. Early check-in should be arranged well in advance with the Mountain Aloe Den management. Checking out earlier than 2:00 pm does not grant the guest any discounts to the outstanding balance and therefore 100% of the outstanding balance is payable by the guest.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 7 am to 10 am for R 160.00 per person.

Dinner
Arrangements must be made well in advance with the operations manager for dinners. Dinner will be served from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm for R 150.00 per person.

Admission
You must be twenty-one (21) years or older to rent a room at the Mountain Aloe Den. In some cases, an identity document or passport might be required at time of check-in. The Mountain Aloe Den Management also reserves the right to refuse admission to any person at any time for any reason to which Mountain Aloe Den is not obliged to disclose to the customer at the time.

Room Occupancy
Occupancy is limited to a maximum of two registered guests per room.

Children
Children the age of 12 and above will be considered as adults and will therefore have to book a seperate room. Additional mattress's will be allocated to children between the ages of 4-11, if availible, at an additional cost of R 150.00 per bed per room. Only one 3/4 mattress will be allocted per room.

Pets
We regret we cannot accommodate pets.

Damage, Theft and Behaviour
The Mountain Aloe Den management has a zero tolerance policy towards inappropriate behavior. Behavior that disturbs the comfort of other guests, threatening or intimidating other guests or employees of Mountain Aloe Den shall not be tolerated. A person who negligently or intentionally causes damage to the facilities including theft thereof – not only limited to: rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, bathrobes, paintings and ornaments within the premises and shall be liable for damages sustained by Mountain Aloe Den, including the loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while the damage is being repaired. Damage to linen or towels resulting from the use of body oils, makeup, shoe polish, gun oil, dyes, etc. will result in a charge for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article.

Smoking
The Mountain Aloe Den is a non-smoking facility and has a strict non-smoking policy which we enforce for the safety and comfort of our guests. Smoking is only permitted at the verandas/patios whereby ashtrays are provided.

Keys
You will be provided with keys to your room (one for the door and one for the security barrier). Please ensure that the main access gate is closed after entering or leaving the premises. You will be responsible to return the keys and key holder to the operations manager or care giver upon leaving the premises and shall be liable for any loss of or damage to the remote, keys and key holder.

Risk
While the greatest care is taken by the Mountain Aloe Den management to ensure that you, your vehicle and your personal belongings that you may bring onto the premises are safe and protected. Mountain Aloe Den management shall not assume any responsibility and is hereby released from any liability for theft, loss and damage of and to anything brought to the premises by the guests and in respect of any personal injury or death of the guests concerned. It is the guests’ sole responsibility to secure the room (by locking the room – refer to Keys) and valuable items (by using the safe provided in the room) when leaving the room.

Privacy
We respect your privacy. We do not share, rent, sell, or otherwise use any personal information you have given us to any third party without your permission, except when required by law, court order or other legal process in order to protect the safety of the public. Any information you give us is held with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.
